formerly of Great Sampford, died peacefully on 23 January at Fingringhoe, her home in recent years, aged 84. Beloved wife to the late William, cherished mother to Peter and Michael and grandmother to Joseph, Eleanor, Catherine and Oliver. A private, family funeral will take place at the church of St Andrew, Fingringhoe, followed by interment of the ashes at the church of St Mary the Virgin, Little Sampford at a later date. Charitable donations in Daphne's memory will be gratefully received by St Helena's hospice in Colchester, or alternatively, Wood Green Animal Shelter. DAPHNE READER
