Obituary for Caroline Dixon It is with great sadness that the death of prominent family solicitor, Caroline Dixon, is announced. Caroline was the managing partner at Stevens Solicitors, Saffron Walden, where she had specialised in family work for many years, in partnership with Alan Caldwell. The firm was founded by Jeff Stevens, with whom Caroline worked closely for many years prior to his retirement. Caroline was a champion for the rights of all to have access to legal advice and representation. She worked tirelessly to ensure that she could help as many people as possible through some of their most distressing difficulties, whether they could afford legal representation or not. Caroline strongly supported the work of collaborative lawyers, working side by side with other local solicitors to achieve conciliatory results for their clients. Caroline had a brilliant legal mind and her talents, positive nature and compassion for others will be greatly missed. Caroline Dixon died on 06/12/2010, aged 56, following a brave nine year battle against cancer. She leaves behind her partner, Matt, and her daughter, Laura. The funeral will take place at 1.30pm on Monday 20th December 2010 in the West Chapel at Cambridge Crematorium.
