ALFRED WILLIAM SMITHER Died peacefully at home on 19th June 2009, aged 97. Beloved father of Malcolm, Maureen and Barbara, father-in-law to Binkie, Roy and Tom, grandfather to 9, great-grandfather to 14 and great-great-grandfat her to 3. He will be so missed by all his family and friends. Funeral Service at Clavering Parish Church on Monday 29th June 2009 at 2.00pm. Family flowers only but donations may be made payable to either Burma Star Association or the Royal British Legion and sent c/o H Peasgood & Son, Shire Hill, Saffron Walden, tel 01799 523314.
