Four fundraisers are taking on the Ford RideLondon-Essex 60-mile cycle ride in aid of disability charity Accuro.

Suzanne, Tim, Lynn and Ken will tackle the cycling challenge on Sunday, May 26, starting in central London, journeying through Essex and finishing back in the capital.

The money they raise will go towards Accuro (Care Services) which supports people with disabilities in west Essex.

Suzanne and Tim are a couple from Uttlesford, while Lynn Snowden is the parent of an Accuro Holiday Scheme member and Ken Muteweri works for Essex County Council.

Lynn said: "When I saw the newsletter looking for people to cycle in RideLondon, I decided I would challenge myself and give something back to Accuro at the same time.

"I was a keen cyclist before I had my son and only last year, now that my son is a bit older, have I been able to get back to my cycling.

"I regularly ride twice a week now and am counting on my fitness to see me through the 60 miles.

"I am also excited about riding on roads with no cars — an absolute treat! Go Accuro, go!"

Ken added: "I think this is the perfect opportunity to be involved in a great cause and to take in the amazing scenery and countryside we have."
