Vistry Group has donated 80 hi-vis jackets to 1st Chesterford Scout Group in Great Chesterford.

The group meets at the scout hut on Newmarket Road.

Here, children aged between six and 14 are given the opportunity to join the beavers, cubs and scouts.

Joel Markham, Beaver scout leader at 1st Chesterford Scout Group, said: "These brand-new hi-vis jackets are in a variety of sizes which allows us to fit out all of the children that come along to the groups that we run.

"The jackets will ensure that the children will be more visible, and therefore safer, at any event we go to or trip we organise, particularly on hikes and bike rides.
