Work is underway on a new multi-million-pound care home in Saffron Walden.
Care UK's new facility, located off Radwinter Road, will offer full-time residential, respite, and specialist dementia care for up to 70 older people and create 96 jobs.

Expected to welcome its first residents in spring 2026, the care home will feature a cinema, café and salon, as well as landscaped grounds with sensory gardens and seating areas.
Marcus Sorrell, development project manager at Care UK, said: "We are thrilled that work has started at the new Essex home, not least because this impressive development reflects our commitment to improving the provision of residential care in the city.
"Our new care home will provide a quality home for older people from Essex and beyond.”
