Essex disability charity Accuro celebrated its 40th anniversary with the Accuro Games 2024.

The free event took place at Howe Green House School in Great Hallingbury on Sunday, July 14, and was open to the charity's members and their families, as well as the public.

Essex-based Paralympian Richard Chiassaro gave a speech at the start of the games, along with chair of trustees Matthew Punshon and Accuro's operations and development manager Amy Connelly.

There were also funfair games, face painting, a princess storytelling session and a live band.

Amy Connelly said: "Accuro’s first ever Accuro Games family fun day was a huge success for several reasons, from seeing our members engage in new and different sporting activities, to one of our members being offered to have a new wheelchair custom made for him and funded.
