Villagers displayed their finest flowers, fruit and vegetables at the Clavering Horticultural Society Annual Show.
Contestants and supporters gathered in the village hall on Saturday, July 27 to enjoy the displays, homemade teas and the presentation of cups and prizes.
The flower and cookery sections proved popular with contestants, but there were fewer entries than usual in the vegetable section, which was attributed to the cool, wet spring.
Robin Carsberg judged the flowers, flower arrangements, vegetables and children's classes, while two WI judges - Rosemary Green and Chrissie Jennings - were kept busy judging a huge range of homemade cakes, savouries and preserves.
The trophies and prizes were presented by Malcolm Smither, a longstanding participant at the show who recently celebrated his 90th birthday.
Among the award winners, Cecily Lawrence won a cup for her flower posy for the second year in a row.
Bridget Balaam won the cup for most points in the children's section, while her aunt Charlie Balaam won a cup for her beach-themed flower arrangement.
The winner of the cookery section was Judith William Powlett, while the runner-up was Alison Wood and Jane Turner received the best exhibit plate for her continental bread.
Meanwhile Andy Johns achieved significant success in many vegetable and flower classes - scooping six awards, including the cup for the most points in the show.
Awards were also given to Anne Harris for her miniature flower arrangement, and to Angela Bailey as the winner of the rose classes.
Clavering Horticultural Society holds two main shows each year, and usually one outing each year to visit some of the country's stunning gardens.

The society also participates in the village fete and holds a fundraising jumble sale, and sometimes hosts other ad-hoc events such as talks on gardens and gardening.
Members are entitled to discounts at businesses in the area and on orders from Sutton Seeds.
A statement on Clavering Village Hall's website says: "The society prides itself on encouraging all people of all ages and horticultural ability to participate in our shows, enjoy meeting fellow villagers, and enjoy the benefits of local produce."
