An author from Saffron Walden has published her second novel featuring her home town.

E. V. 'Evie' Radwinter - who works as a communications manager and writes under a pen name - has released her latest novel Until We Meet.

The novel tells the story of a chance encounter between two strangers on a crowded train.

Ellie is struggling to escape a semi-toxic relationship, while caring for her ailing father, and Rich has a secret he cannot share.

A description of the book reads: "As they traverse the emotional rollercoasters of loss and searching for her birth family, the friends follow a path of discovery, the end of which neither of them could foresee and which results in three lives being changed forever."

Until We Meet is set in Surbiton and Kingston upon Thames in Surrey, and during the novel the protagonist Ellie visits her friend Chloe in Saffron Walden to support her after her relationship breaks down.

The characters recall their visit to Saffron Grange Vineyard during happier times.

Evie's first novel, Loves Lost and Found, was set in Saffron Walden and mentions a number of popular businesses in the town, including Hart's Books, Maze and Angela Reed.

Evie, who grew up in Stansted Mountfitchet and went to school in Bishop's Stortford, said: "This is my second novel, and like the first, includes some of my favourite places to visit, dine and stay in Saffron Walden, which I am proud to call my home.

"Until We Meet is another heartfelt story, which includes topics and themes with which I am familiar, including surviving the heartbreak of a bereavement, the emotional rollercoaster of searching for a birth family, the comfort of familial love, and the promise of romance.

"It also includes the impact that a semi-toxic relationship can have on an individual, and those around them.
