A nine-year-old from Saffron Walden has had a big chop to her hair to donate it to children with cancer.
Anna Kelly had 17 inches cut off all in one go so she could donate her long locks to The Little Princess Trust.
The charity provides free hair wigs to boys and girls across Great Britain and Ireland who have lost their hair because of cancer treatments.
Anna said: “People around the world don’t have hair because of cancer and, because I have lots of it, I wanted other people to have hair too.”
Catherine Kelly, Anna’s mum, said: “I’m very proud. She made her mind up and she was determined. I was surprised she decided to go so short but I think it looks great.
“I’m really proud we have children who think of others.”
