A new community space to encourage mental wellbeing is opening in Saffron Walden on World Mental Health Day.
Mind in West Essex is opening its new community space and offices at 1-2 Bakehouse Court , 19 High Street, with an open day event from 11am to 1pm on October 10.
They are keen to hear from local people about what they feel is needed to support good mental health in North Uttlesford. An official opening ceremony will take place at midday, and visitors will have a chance to meet with other partner organisations such as the fire service and police.
Mind in West Essex chief executive officer Alison Wilson said: "Our aim is for Saffron Walden and surrounding villages to be a place where people talk openly and positively about mental health, and where everyone gets the support and respect needed to live well.
"We are excited to be opening a space right in the heart of the local community."
