Oasis legend Noel Gallagher will headline a major outdoor show at Audley End next summer.
Chart-topping Mancunian indie-rock outfit Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are heading to Saffron Walden on Saturday, August 5, 2023, as part of the Heritage Live concert series.
Taking place within the beautiful grounds of English Heritage's Audley End House & Gardens, Noel Gallagher will be joined by acclaimed Liverpool indie-rock band The Zutons and former Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan.
Pre-sale tickets for the Essex gig hit the web on December 7 and general sale starts on December 9.
The concert is part of Heritage Live, with Soft Cell also set for Audley End in 2023 on August 11.
Noel Gallagher headlined Heritage Live at Kenwood House on Hampstead Heath this summer, having also played Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage in 2022.
Heritage Live promoter Giles Cooper said: “Noel is one of rock’s true iconic geniuses and we’re so pleased he’ll be performing another Heritage Live show for us next summer.
"Their show with us at Kenwood was one of the highlights of the summer; the High Flying Birds are such a brilliant band and we really can’t wait to stage this show for them in one of the UK’s most amazing concert settings.”
NGHFB will head to Saffron Walden for a 2023 gig featuring material from the band's most recent number one album, compilation Back The Way We Came: Vol 1, and tracks from their fourth studio album, to be released next year.
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have already released a new single, Pretty Boy, which features long-time friend and collaborator Johnny Marr on guitar.
Speaking about the new track, Noel said: “For this new record it was the first thing I wrote, the first thing I demoed and the first thing I finished, so it’s only right that it’s the first thing people get to hear.
“Massive shout out to my mainest man Johnny Marr for taking it somewhere special."
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ previous studio album, Who Built The Moon?, was released in 2017, charting at Number 1 in the UK Official Albums Chart on release.
June 2021 saw the release of Back The Way We Came: Vol 1 (2011-2021) - a career-defining 'Best Of' celebrating a decade of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ diverse body of work.
The album marked the band’s fourth consecutive UK chart-topper, and the 12th Number 1 album across Noel’s prolific career, with Oasis and solo.
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds' eponymous 2011 debut album achieved double platinum status in the UK, and has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide.
In the two decades prior to this release, Noel Gallagher was main songwriter, lead guitarist and occasional lead vocalist of British band Oasis.
