Saffron Building Society is preparing to elect its first-ever female chair at its upcoming annual general meeting (AGM).
Barbara Anderson will officially take on the role of chair at the AGM on Tuesday, April 18 - becoming the first female chair in the society's 173-year history - taking over from Nick Treble.
Barbara, a non-executive director, joined Saffron in 2022 as chair designate.

She said: "Saffron is a member-owned business, so my role as incoming chair is to ensure the Society makes the right long-term choices so it can thrive for many years to come."
