Saffron Walden celebrated World Bicycle Day earlier this month, with a range of events for all ages.
Hosted jointly by Saffron Walden Town Council and Uttlesford District Council, families had the chance to ride around the town led by trained professionals, while younger children took part in free 'learn to ride' sessions in the Market Square.
The bike doctor tended to many broken or damaged bikes for free, while others made smoothies from pedal power on the sustainable smoothie bike.

Lord Butler Leisure Centre also held a bike challenge and Saffron Walden Library had a pop-up stall.
A town council spokesperson said: "It was wonderful to see the Market Square used for positive active and climate change themes for the half-term holiday."
