St Mary's Church in Saffron Walden is holding a 'Death by Chocolate' event for people to discuss dying and funerals in an informal setting.
Attendees can get together in a café-style space to discuss arrangements surrounding death, accompanied by tea and chocolate cake.
The event will take place at the Parish Rooms, St Mary's Church at 3pm on Thursday, October 5.
Judith Hasler, funeral minister in the Saffron Walden and Villages Team, explained this is a chance for people of all or no faiths to talk about death, think about your funeral, ask questions and air your thoughts.
She said: "Talking about death, dying and funerals raises big questions that we need to face at some point, but it can be hard to talk to family and friends."
