Saffron Walden Tourist Information Centre is bidding goodbye to duty manager Mark Starte after 25 years in the role.
Mark is taking early retirement to embark on an "exciting new venture" in the town - running Neon, Vinyl and Art in Emson Close alongside business partners Robert McCarthy and Fiona Bates.
A spokesperson for Saffron Walden Town Council, which operates the Tourist Information Centre, said: "Mark will be greatly missed by all his colleagues.

"Mark has been an integral part of the TIC and was instrumental in the setting up of the website www.visitsaffronwalden.gov.uk.
"He has been involved in many projects over the years, most recently organising the official visit by a group from Bad Wildungen, Saffron Walden’s twin town in Germany."
