Specsavers in Saffron Walden held a reopening celebration following a £500,000 expansion.
The Hill Street store opened its doors again after six weeks on Tuesday, January 16, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Mayor Cllr Heather Asker, along with cake and live singing.

The opticians has doubled its testing rooms and got two new designated audiology testing rooms, as well as adding to the store space to create a crescent shaped-space - with one side clinical and one side retail.
They have also taken on 10 new team members, including dispensing managers, customer service advisors and lab technicians.
Store director Suba Thiara said: "We had such a great time opening the store again and a special thank you to everyone who could celebrate with us."
