A film made and set in Thaxted will be screened in Saffron Walden next week, followed by a Q&A session with the writer and director.
This Blessed Plot will be shown at Saffron Screen at 7.30pm on Sunday, March 24.

Shot entirely on location in Thaxted, the film follows young Chinese filmmaker Lori, who arrives in the town and finds that the dead surround the living - and the border between them is easily crossed.
Lori is introduced to the village church and becomes fascinated with the long dead socialist vicar Conrad Noel, who speaks to her from beyond the grave.
The borders begin to break down between past and present in a tale of love, loss and betrayal.
Noel, a real historical figure, became known as the 'Red Vicar' for hoisting the Sinn Fein flag inside the church after the Easter Rising, and hoisting the red flag a year later following the Russian Revolution.
Director Marc Isaacs and writer Adam Ganz will answer questions from the audience after the film.
The Q&A will give viewers a chance to learn more about Marc Isaac's artistic freedom when working with a micro-budget and a cast of unknown non-professional actors.
This Blessed Plot is Marc's attempt to remain outside conventional industrial film production structures, working with people from some of his past documentary films as well as new characters he has encountered in Thaxted.
Marc said: "We are delighted to be showing This Blessed Plot so close to Thaxted and sincerely hope the themes (and playfulness) of the film will resonate with the local community."

Marc previously blended documentary and fiction for his film The Filmmaker's House in 2020, an employed similar techniques for This Blessed Plot.
