Cllr Martin Foley has been elected as the new chair of Uttlesford District Council, taking over from Cllr Geof Driscoll.
Cllr Foley, who represents Thaxted and the Eastons ward, previously held the position of chair in 2020/2021.
The vice-chair for 2024/2025 will be Cllr Chris Criscione, who represents Flitch Green and Little Dunmow ward.

Cllr Foley said: "It is a privilege to be appointed as chair of this council.
"The last time I was chair was during the pandemic and it was a very unusual year – this time around I am hoping to get to many more civic occasions and will try to represent the district the best I can.”
Cllr Foley has chosen Uttlesford Foodbank as his good cause for the year.
