Armed Forces service members based in Saffron Walden will receive free bus rides on Thursday, June 6 to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
Stagecoach East will offer free travel for all on-duty personnel in uniform or presenting an identity card, as well as veterans displaying their medals or veteran's ID.
Cadets involved in events will also get a free pass.
June 6 was the day of D-Day landings in 1944: the largest naval invasion ever documented.
D-Day began the liberation of France and Western Europe, marking an essential phase in European history.
Darren Roe, Stagecoach East's managing director, said: "As a group, Stagecoach is proud to show its support for our military personnel past and present.
"Many of our colleagues here in the East are themselves veterans, and so we are particularly aware of the tremendous sacrifices that were made for our freedom 80 years ago.
"We all owe a debt of gratitude to those who put themselves forward to defend our freedoms and way of living, and so we are proud to do our bit on this very special day"
Stagecoach is part of the Armed Forces Covenant, which aims to demonstrate fairness and respect to the armed forces and their families.
