A Grade II-listed Georgian house in Saffron Walden formerly used for sheltered accommodation has hit the market.
The building, part of Walden Place in Myddylton Place, Saffron Walden, is being sold by property agents Savills on behalf of Uttlesford District Council for a guide price of £1 million.
The multi-level residence previously catered to people over 60 before tenants relocated to a newly built adjoining facility.

Savills surveyor Louise Richards said: "The building is a Grade II listed house of red brick construction with original sash windows totalling 7,890 square feet and sitting within grounds of approximately 0.21 acres.
“The ground floor comprises the former communal areas, a kitchen, laundry facilities, toilets and a small office.
"There are two flats on the first floor, and one more flat on the second floor."
The property needs some refurbishment following a period of vacancy.
Ms Richards adds: "Subject to obtaining the required planning consents the building could be suitable for a number of uses including a hotel, apartments or an individual house.
"Preference will be given to parties who can clearly demonstrate that they have undertaken a full analysis of the site and understood all of the obligations to be placed upon them.”
