Takeley fire safety consultancy Marshall Fire is sponsoring a Stansted primary school's Music in the Park festival.

Bentfield Primary School caters to 210 pupils, with additional nursery spaces, and supports 24 children with complex health, physical development and lifelong learning needs.

Music in the Park takes place on Saturday, July 6 to raise money for the school.

Marshall Fire will be sponsoring the festival as two of managing director Steve Marshall's daughters attend the school.

Steve said: "We take great pride in being part of the positive and nurturing community at Bentfield.

"This partnership aligns perfectly with our values of supporting local initiatives and we’re delighted to see Benfield Primary's dedication to their pupils."

The family-friendly music festival is in its 21st year, and is organised by a sub-committee of the PTA.

Each year the festival relies on the generosity of volunteers, sponsors, donations from businesses and musicians who give their performances for free.

This year's festival will be held on the school field, and gates open at 1pm - with live music from 1.30pm to 8pm.

Tickets are available from the school, the Dog & Duck pub or from Intercounty estate agent in Stansted.

You can also get tickets by emailing mitpstansted@gmail.com. No tickets are required for under-threes.

As well as live music, families can enjoy bouncy castles, face-painting, a bar, a barbecue and more.

There will be limited card machines available on the day, so organisers recommend bringing cash to speed up queueing time.

Bentfield Bar cups will be available to buy, or attendees can bring their own reusable cups.

Tracy of Bentfield Primary PTA added: "Marshall Fire are one of our biggest sponsors this year, their generosity means a huge amount to us as more of the money raised will be going straight back into the school.

"Money raised by the PTA helps provide the additional funds that are so desperately needed. It’s lovely to be able to have them as part of our school community."

The money raised at the festival will go towards enhancing pupils' experience, contributing to everything from playground equipment to supporting the curriculum.
