Cam Valley Crematorium is holding a community open day this September for residents to learn more about their work.
The crematorium in Great Chesterford is inviting residents from Essex, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire to tour the facilities on Saturday, September 7, from 10am to 2pm.
Visitors can walk in the landscaped grounds and chat with the crematorium team to gain an insight into their work, including how they make each service personal.
Anyone interested will also have the opportunity to tour the crematory.
Lee Wilkins, Cam Valley crematorium manager, said: "This open day is available to anyone, even if it’s just to look around and understand what we do.
"Everyone is welcome, whatever your reason.
"In addition to seeing our modern and beautiful facilities, visitors will be able to meet our compassionate team, ask any questions they may have about what we do, find out all about the exceptional care and services that we provide and how we can make a loved one’s service uniquely personal.
"While attending the open day, visitors will also be able to write letters or cards to those they have lost and put them in our memorial post box and take some time to pause and reflect in our beautiful grounds, which are surrounded by nature.
"No appointment is necessary for the community open day; absolutely everyone is welcome."
Visitors on the open day will also be able to learn about the crematorium's community work and its charitable donations, and learn about the various memorial options available to help people remember their loved ones.
Cam Valley Crematorium is part of the Westerleigh Group, a leading independent owner and operator of cemeteries and crematoria, which manages 40 sites across Wales, Scotland, and England.
