Children aged from 14 months to 10 years took part in a Toddler and Early Years STEM session in Saffron Walden.
The session was run by Sandra Beale from her home, and involved five experiments to help children explore science, technology, engineering and maths.
Children played with bouncing marbles and tumbling beads, and released toys from ice using pipettes filled with warm water and salt.
They also made a snow scene with snowmen in a village of coloured wooden houses, and made lava lamps that fizzed and popped.
