Singers in Saffron Walden are invited to join the chorus for a new community opera.
The opera, titled Uprising, is centred on the climate emergency and is composed by Jonathan Dove with a libretto by April De Angelis.
The concert hall premiere is set for March 2025 at Saffron Hall.
No auditions are required, but some choir experience is necessary.
Places are limited, and participants must commit to the full rehearsal schedule.
Rehearsals will start on Tuesday, October 22 at Katherine Semar School in Saffron Walden.
According to organisers, the opportunity also allows singers to work with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and professional soloists.
