A release party was held in Saffron Walden for a song written by a nine-year-old songwriter.

Rosie Porter wrote the song 'Constellations' in a notebook, which was discovered in her bedroom by her parents.

Her dad, professional music photographer Martin Porter, passed the song on to singer Elliot Porter (no relation), and the song was released on Friday, November 15.

The song was picked up by radio stations and press, with Rosie and Elliot both giving multiple interviews, and a promotional video was released by Paul Bellany of Creative Walden.

The ceremony was then moved to the larger main hall, where Paul introduced a making of 'Constellations' video and the premiere of the promo video.

Elliot said: "Constellations has been a pleasure to work on and a really great project for myself and Rosie. It’s been a real team effort and very rewarding creatively.

"Thanks to my band for bringing it all together on Friday, Darren Stammers for a rousing support slot, Fairycroft House for hosting, Martin for managing the project so well and everyone that came along for their superb support."

Rosie said: "I was very nervous to sing my song with Elliot on stage, but I did it anyway.

"My friends were there to see me, they liked my song!"

Martin said: "What a amazing time we have been having since the finding of this song in Rosie's notepad to the moment Elliot stepped off the stage after the release gig.

"I cannot put to words just how proud I am and just how great Elliot is, every musician tonight was top notch and to see a full hall in these tough times for live music is much appreciated and refreshing.

"Thank you very much to everyone who has supported Elliot and Rosie."
