London Stansted Airport's Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal stand collected £21,368 this year.
This amount surpassed last year’s record of £15,230, and will go towards the RBL's work with veterans.
The collection was raised over 15 days leading up to Remembrance Sunday by 71 civilian volunteers, including some first-time airport employees.
They covered 120 three-hour shifts from 6am until 6pm.

In addition, 49 troops from the 33 and 35 Royal Engineers Regiments, based at Carver Barracks, also lent their support.
Dan Turpin, the airport’s community engagement manager, said: "We are very proud of our passengers and staff for raising almost £21,000 for the Poppy Appeal at the airport.
"It’s heartwarming to see the airport community come together to support such an important cause."
